Just shut it, Luis!
I just want to go on record by saying that I'm sick and tired of Luis Suarez and the weekly soap opera that surrounds him.
I don't care what other players do, I don't care what other managers say, and I don't care about the inconsistency of refereeing decisions. The reason I don't care about those things is because they're all beyond the control of Liverpool FC.
Luis Suarez is, or at least should be under control of the club but week after week we have to put up with his pathetic antics on the pitch followed by poorly advised comments off it. Why is no one taking command of the situation here?
To my mind, Suarez's dive in the second half against Stoke last week was completely unacceptable and should be dealt as severely as possible in an in-house manner by the club. It's simply not good enough to have one of our players consistently going to ground like that every week. Again, I don't care what the likes of Nani or Gareth Bale do because they're not our players.
Someone, presumably Brendan Rodgers, needs to get a grip of this situation immediately because it's already getting out of hand. Suarez has already damaged our chances this season by creating a "boy who cried wolf" scenario for himself. In particular a blatant decision against Norwich went against him because of the reputation he has created. I have no sympathy for him whatsoever and nor should anyone else have.
By all accounts he seems like a great guy off the pitch, family man, etc. It's on the pitch where his behaviour is becoming tedious in the extreme. At the moment what we have on our hands is another Didier Drogba – someone who is despised by other fans because of his consistently ridiculous histrionics. Since when was that acceptable for Liverpool FC?
The fact that he's our only senior fit striker now makes the situation ever more crucial. He must be ordered by the coaching staff to stay on his feet and he also needs to stop giving interviews every other day. At the moment the guy's carrying more baggage than Heathrow airport and if he doesn't cut out the nonsense he should be sold – simple as that.
